El grupo de acogida del Santuario de Covadonga está
formado por un número de jóvenes cristianos, que unidos
en el espacio común de Covadonga con el compromiso de dar fe, es
expresado en el acoger y ser acogido como estilo de vida.

Who are they? |

Young Christians who come to the Sanctuary as volunteers to provide a welcome service to pilgrims and all those who visit.

What do they do? |

In the context of the Sanctuary, they welcome, accompany and inform visitors, individuals as well as groups.

un que hacer que brota del ser cristiano; de ahí que cuantos se acerquen
a este lugar de oración buscando un encuentro con Cristo por medio
de María, les faciliten esta experiencia a través de la escucha
de la Palabra en un clima de silencio, la participación en la celebración
de lo sacramentos –especialmente la Eucaristía y Reconciliación-
y de la Liturgia de las Horas.
The attention given by the "Welcome Houses" is important. They should try to give a suitable response and a cordial welcome to those requesting accommodation in them.

When? |

The volunteers start their service on 1 July and finish it on 30 September. Groups are organised fortnightly.

How do they live? |
|

The service of the group is characterised by:
A climate of mutual trust.
Daily sharing of anecdotes, good humour.
Prayer, reflection, and the evening festivities of the whole group.
